Sometimes there is no rhyme or reason to an opshop find, you just have to have it for some reason, even if it’s not clear why.
Like the shoes I found this week for $4.
On the face of it, they’re a great find; Unique & funky looking, good condition, cheap.
If only they weren’t almost a half size too small.
And green – I’ve never owned green shoes in my life & am pretty sure, should the occasion arise where I would be able to wear these (i.e., sitting somewhere quietly & not walking anywhere…), I wouldn’t have a thing to wear them with.
Yet, I still had to have them…
(…some undoubtedly more reasonable finds here.)
Great minds ... right now these kind of 'why' buys are bringing me in a motza on ebay ... honestly they're like money in the bank! There's method in out madness :~)
ReplyDeleteooooo I love the green shoes, got a green thing goin, as you know ;)
ReplyDeleteAm loving those green shoes: how cool are they with cute swimming soles too: such a shame they dont fit!! I bought a lovely pair of pink boots that didnt fit but fortunately they are too big so I just put an extra pair of thick socks on when I wear them: at the opshop you just cant ask for something in another size: but I wouldnt shop anywhere esle!!
ReplyDeleteOhh, they are lovely, and maybe in my size? ;)
ReplyDeleteUuuuum ... I don't want to alarm you, but you may have an addiction to op shopping! Cool shoes though!
ReplyDeleteI'm all for green shoes! Could you perhaps get one of those bootmakers in the shopping centers to stretch them?
ReplyDelete:)
Well that's just an excuse to go and get something equally fabulous that they will go with.
ReplyDeletexo
they just look so utterly comfortable... i think i'd scoop them up (in the right size though...) ;)
ReplyDeleteI need to show this post to my husband ;) He might then get off my case a little bit...or stop me hanging out with you lol.
ReplyDeletemaybe they'll stretch? maybe you'll need to go to a green themed fancy dress party (or St Pat's day event)?... maybe just too good to pass up... I can understand that feeling...
ReplyDeleteEmbrace the green, they are just so cutsie and lovely I think. You could try to stretch them with some hot spoons....it does work apparently. x
ReplyDeleteI know. It's fine until you have to try to explain it to someone...
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, I have a lot of blue shoes for some reason : )
ReplyDeleteEventually you'll find somewhere to wear them

ReplyDeleteMy name is Vic and I have a problem.... its been hours since I went op shopping ... I am breaking into a sweat.... experiencing heart palpiations and I fear I may have passed on my compulsive behaviours to my daughter...
ReplyDeleteIf they are leather, get some wet news paper and roll it up into a firm ball and squish it into the shoe nice and firm and wait for it to dry. You should be able to get a 1/2 size stretch.
