My Dad used to let me choose the bottle of wine for Sunday lunch. I ALWAYS chose by how the bottle/label looked. The results were... umm... interesting at times!
pretty much every bottle of wine i've ever bought... unless i know it's fantastic, then i'll forgive a crappy label. sometimes i buy them for their funny names too :D
Yes :D nowadays my wine budget sits at under $12 a bottle so a pretty or funky label has to make up for where the rest of it falls short! (and ditto for all the choices Isis has mentioned above)
Not just the label but the bottle as well. There was a wine label called wickedwines which had lust and Envy in beautiful sparkly glittered bottles. Merely tarted up cheap wine with a tarted up price tag.
They looks so pretty! Yes I have brought wine just because it was in a good looking bottle.

ReplyDeletehell yes! and backed horses at the track for the colours, teas for the packaging, and always books by their cover!!!
ReplyDeleteNo, but I've bought other things because I've been impressed with a label - chocolate for instance...
